Game of Thrones’ Aiden Gillen Joins the Cast of Peaky Blinders

Game of Thrones fans, listen up: we’ve got good news for all you Petyr Baelish (Littlefinger) lovers. Actor Aidan Gillen, who plays Baelish, has joined the cast of the upcoming fourth season of Peaky Blinders, the BBC Two’s early 20th century gangster series that has Brits and Americans alike obsessing. You might have heard of it after people gushed about the show’s stellar soundtrack, featuring The Raconteurs, The White Stripes, and Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds among others.

Also joining the fourth season is Charlie Murphy, of Happy Valley and The Last Kingdom fame, and Adrien Brody. Filming began in the UK recently, and the new season should be airing sometime in October 2017. Creator/writer Steven Knight has told the BBC that the new episodes will be set in 1926 and feature the General Strike.

Gillen’s exact role has yet to be announced, but here’s to hoping he plays as loveable a villain as he does in GOT.
