To a man where boundaries cease to exist
Kanye is at the point where (whether you like what he creates or not) you will still be talking about it. In a sense, that's what art is supposed to do. Get you going and get you talking.
Last week, Kanye screened his "Famous" music video at the Forum in Los Angeles while simultaneously streaming it live on Tidal. Although Henny bottle wielding Ye didn't show up and wild out. He did show everyone why he is still a creative genius.
The music video shows famous figures laid out naked in a bed these include Ye himself, Kim Kardashian West, Rihanna, Taylor Swift, Ray J, Amber Rose, Donald Trump, George Bush, Caitlyn Jenner, Bill Cosby, and Anna Wintour laying like the gods on Mt. Olympus.
Inspired by Vincent Desiderio's "Sleep" painting in 2008 Kanye took Desiderio's concept of perceptions of reality and made it his own. Whether you liked it or like some of the celebrities depicted on the video, you didn't particularly care for it. Kanye "opens a dialogue: human vulnerability & the sacrifice of intimate space for the consumption of entertainment" as tweeted by Erykah Badu.
If you needed any more confirmation of this being the underlying theme in the video Kanye then premiered his video again just last night on E!
