Rising Chicago Star "Gee Get Money" Releases Salsa feat Ace Hood and Opens Up About His Journey

Lets start this off right. Who is Geramy Webster?

Geramy Webster aka (Gee Get Money) is an entertainer with Belizean family roots. Born November 19, 1990. My early influences in music derived from my mother, which molded me into having a deep passion for music and the art of creation. I’m very humble and eager to learn and work hard for whatever I set my mind to.

What was like growing up in Chicago as an artist? Did it have any influence on your sound at all?

I love Chicago! It’s so diverse..

Its a tourist city with lots of different people from all over the world exploring or visiting. This opened me up to different cultures, traditions and lifestyles.

It molded me into who I am today. Music is a connection to everyone. With that being said, I ventured off into so many eclectic sounds.

Thats amazing. You do have a very melodic cadence. Who were some of your biggest influences in music?

Music or whatever moves my soul itself is a big influence. To be more specific artist like: Chris Brown, Usher, Bob Marley, Eminem, Lil Wayne, Young Thug, Kanye West, Drake, Twista and Micheal Jackson...lol This list is everywhere because I love music that much to vibe to whatever sounds good to me.

What’s your outlook on the state of hip hop currently?

Hip hop has the biggest movement ever bigger. It’s become bigger than rock and roll
and helped shape different cultures and lifestyles around the world. It's very powerful. It can be used to destroy, or it can be used to uplift and bring people together.

Thats very true. So on July 10th you opened up for Lil Baby at Pavilion @ Pan Am. What was that experience like?

That's one of the biggest highlights/live performance experiences ever in my life. I’m a big fan of Lil baby and it was a dream come true to open up right before he came out. So I had to bless to stage with Trust Da Process and Rapalot family.

I also see you’re connected with the legendary J Prince. How did that come about?

Yes, so my manager Edwin Davila Jr. (Aka) Eddie and I worked extremely hard to make that happen. We ended up getting the attention of a Label called Rapalot Midwest. Its overseen by J Prince and ran by Eric Chatman aka (Easy E) and the President Damian aka (prez).

We sat down at the round table to present some projects we had pending and they were very impressed. This led us to getting invited to J Prince’s private lake house in Houston. It was all history from there. We’re now apart of Rapalot Records and Trust Da Process.

That’s iconic! So you just released Salsa. It’s a very catchy track. How did this feature with Ace Hood come together?

God is how this all happened. It was as simple as this:

We decided to take a trip to explore/network with anyone we could and made a few calls ...Ace Hood’s manager was one of those calls.

Ace Hood was actually in the same area at the time, so I got to link up with him. I played him my music and he loved it. I emailed him a track and he sent it back in less than a week.

Later we decided to fly back and film the video for it in Miami. Its a crazy experience and all I did was trust the process.

Trusting the process and believing in God is key. Are there any artists currently you would like to collaborate with?

Yes I would like to collaborate with Lil Wayne , Young Thug, Lil Baby, Drake, Nicki Minja, Bad Bunny, Bruno Mars, Future, Post Malone, Cardi B, Offset, DJ Khaled, and Justin Bieber. There's more but just to name a few.

Those are all top tier elite artist. Im 100% sure it will come into existence for you soon. It was great catching up with you man. Anything else you would like to leave your fans with?

I want to thank everyone who has supported me throughout this journey. I'm nothing without you guys.

No matter how crazy or hard it sounds, never give up on your dreams. Your opinion is the only one that matters and everyone else will fall in so keep pushing.
